Hello, I'm new here, Dutch but living in Berlin and since this week the happy owner of a T3.
I have a question, my camper is a 1.6D from 1982. I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can also drive on biodiesel.
Thanks in advance,

best,
Sanne

Hi.
Not a good idea of the Engine seals are broken.
This has destroyed my Motor.

Greetings

If your diesel injection pump an the fuel system is in original setup I can not recomend to use biodiesel (FAME). Some fuel hoses an the sealings in the pump do not resist to the esthers in biodiesel. If you change the hoses and the sealings against biodiesel resistent parts (sealings made of viton) you will propably not have problems caused by using biodiesel. But I think the efforts will not be worth.

Hi Sanne.

You know that there is a difference between "Biodiesel" and "Pflanzenöl" (short: PÖL)? Have a look at this: Klick .
Many Users here try to take up to 50% PÖL to Diesel (without change anything at the Motor) in the summertime and don't have Problems. Some things are different for using this, for example the intervall of change the Dieselfilter is shorter. In winter it's not easy to use PÖL, because PöL is not good at deeper Temperatures, the sickness isn't as good as summer.
If you want to use 100% Pöl every time you can do it, but you have to do somthing for. It's possible. Look at the link and you will see.
